These terms explain important limitations and safety conditions that apply to roadside services requested from Vanguard Roadside Services. Service decisions may depend on the condition of the vehicle, the roadside environment, and what can be performed safely.
Service Availability
Roadside service is subject to technician availability, location, weather, traffic, vehicle condition, site safety, and the ability to perform the requested service safely.
A website request does not guarantee immediate dispatch, a specific arrival time, or that a requested service can be completed in every situation.
Tire Repair & Tire Changes
A tire can only be repaired when its condition and damage are suitable for a safe repair. Damage location, puncture size, prior repairs, sidewall damage, tread condition, internal damage, and other factors may make repair inappropriate.
When the tire is safely repairable, Vanguard will help save it. When repair is not appropriate and a usable spare is available, the spare may be installed so the vehicle can get moving again.
Battery Jumps
A jump start is intended to help start a vehicle with a discharged battery. A jump start does not diagnose or guarantee the condition of the battery, alternator, starter, charging system, wiring, or other vehicle components.
If the vehicle does not start or cannot remain running, additional mechanical service or towing may be required.
Vehicle Lockouts
Vehicle lockout assistance is performed only when lawful access to the vehicle can be reasonably established and the service can be attempted without unacceptable safety or damage risk.
Vehicle design, security systems, existing damage, weather, or access conditions may affect whether lockout service can be completed.
Fuel Delivery
Fuel delivery is intended to provide enough fuel to help a vehicle get moving again. Fuel availability and fuel type may vary. Additional mechanical issues are not resolved by fuel delivery.
Unsafe Locations
Roadside service may be delayed, modified, or declined when a vehicle is positioned in a location that presents an unreasonable safety risk to the customer, service personnel, traffic, or surrounding property.
Emergency conditions, collisions, medical emergencies, fire, or immediate danger should be reported to emergency services.
Website Requests
Submitting a website request begins the service-request process but does not guarantee immediate dispatch or a specific response time. Customers should keep their phone available so Vanguard Roadside Services can contact them regarding the request.
For urgent direct contact, call (502) 390-7850.
