Vanguard Roadside is focused on the roadside problems that can often be handled where the vehicle is stopped: tire trouble, a discharged battery, locked keys, and running out of fuel. The site, request system, and dispatch workflow are built around collecting the information needed to evaluate those calls instead of sending customers through an oversized menu of unrelated services.
For tire requests, Vanguard uses a plug-first approach. A tire is not automatically treated as a tire-change job when the tire condition and puncture location allow an appropriate external roadside plug. When a tire plug is not appropriate and a usable spare is available, roadside tire-change service is the alternate path.

Requests between approximately 20 and 65 miles
Calls farther from the 20-mile local service area can still be considered when availability, travel distance, service type, and roadside conditions make the call practical.
